Shire Driveways and Patios Derby recently completed a resin driveway transformation, replacing an old, worn stone driveway with a sleek silver grey resin surface, finished with a charcoal border for a clean, modern look.
To enhance functionality and accessibility, we also built a custom step near the front door, providing a stylish and practical entrance to the home.

Challenges & Requirements
- The existing stone driveway was uneven and outdated, needing a full replacement.

The Installation Process
Excavation & Base Preparation:
- The old stone driveway was fully removed, and the ground was levelled and compacted.
- A new, reinforced sub-base was laid to provide stability and long-term durability.
Laying the Resin Surface:
- The silver grey resin was poured and expertly spread for a smooth, seamless finish.
- The UV-stable resin ensures long-lasting colour and resistance to weathering.
Adding the Charcoal Border:
- A contrasting charcoal border was installed to frame the driveway and enhance the design.
- This defined edge provides a polished, high-end look while complementing the silver grey surface.
Building the Front Door Step:
- A custom-built step was constructed near the front door using matching materials, ensuring a consistent, modern aesthetic.
- The step provides safe and convenient access to the entrance while blending seamlessly with the new driveway.
